YouTube's Music Vault Expands

YouTube just doubled down on their live music video investment by adding over 13,000 new titles to their Music Vault live music video showcase. Including performances from “Bill Graham Presents” and “King Biscuit Flower Hour” courtesy of a deal with Wolfgang’s Vault, there are so many great performances here I almost didn't know where to start. I only just came across this late last night but the selection appears to be broad, rich , and amazing. From single tracks to full concerts, from Muddy Waters to Miles to The Allman Brothers to St. Vincent, there's enough great footage here to ruin a week's worth of work time. Best of all, it's free.

"After two years restoring, transferring, mixing and mastering thousands of tapes from our enormous archive, we're thrilled and extremely proud to share this massive treasure with the YouTube music community," Music Vault content editor Bill Antonucci said in a press release.

"We believe this content deserves to be seen by the largest audience possible, and our partnership with YouTube allows us to do just that. Younger music fans will now be able to experience what it was like to see these classic bands at the peak of their powers while their parents relive the thrill of seeing shows they actually attended."

When you've got some serious time, head on over to YouTube's Music Vault and get ready to dig in and enjoy.
