Resonessence Labs CONCERO DAC

Here's one announcement from RMAF 2012 that particularly piques my interest:
Resonessence Labs will introduce its latest product, CONCERO at this years RMAF in Denver 12th-14th October, just 12 months after releasing its award winning INVICTA product.

The CONCERO is the processing engine from the INVICTA DAC, packaged to be used with your existing high end audio components. Capable of operating in three distinct modes, you may use CONCERO as a USB, 24bit/192kHz Asynchronous DAC, an SPDIF DAC, or as a USB to SPDIF bridge. CONCERO reponds to the standard Apple IR Remote controller for ease of use.

The CONCERO is priced at $599 and it includes the same Apodizing and IIR filters as its pricier and fuller-featured big brother the Invicta. If the CONCERO delivers the same sonic goods we're looking at one appealing prospect. I'll be reporting on this and much more from RMAF 2012 beginning this Friday.

I ordered one. Going to be interesting to see how it compares to my Ayre QB-9.

Appears to be bus powered. Seems like a bit of wishful thinking.

The challenges associated with getting clean power out of a USB port and known, and not insurmountable.

Did Resonessence get it right? Seems to me there's only one way to find out.

What I'm talking about is the comparison. I wouldn't expect it to have the same permormance as the Ayre for 20% of the price.
