Lovely Recordings: Hosted By Andras Szamek

I thought I will give this a go. Hopefully I can share a few albums that your readers will like. I sure love them.

Tonik Ensemble: Snapshots (Atomnation, 2015)
This is without a doubt my favorite album of the year. From the first note until the last it just kept constantly blowing my mind. Multiple braingasms guarantied. Every time i put it on, I’m mesmerized. It will probably blow your mind too.

Available from Bandcamp.

Beacon: The Ways We Separate (Ghostly International, 2013)
Just like Snapshots, its very hard not to listen to the whole thing once you start. Really beautiful structures and moods. It just takes you away. It’s a bit melancholic but pretty pretty pretty.

Available from Bandcamp.

Darkside: Psychic (Matador Records, 2013)
Well this is Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, and there are really no words for this record.

Available from Juno Download.

Deee-Lite: Dewdrops in the Garden (Elektra, 1994)
All I’m saying is that this is 1994 and the stuff these people are doing is awesome. They are funny and super smart.

Available from Qobuz.

Erykah Badu: Baduizm Live (Kedar, 1997)
Again, not much to say. A goddess singing live. Everyone should have this record.

Available from Qobuz.

Gesaffelstein: Aleph (The Vinyl Factory, 2013)
I guess one would describe this as intellectual techno. Its pretty hard, really really ballsy and sometimes super funny. Be warned, its a bit of a commitment to listen to it but I guess its worth it.

Available from Beatport.

Life on Planets: Curious Place (Wolf + Lamb, 2015)
Another great release on the Wolf + Lamb label. The mood is amazing.

Available from Beatport.

Richard Davis: Details (Kitty Yo, 2005)
This is some very very nice deep house. Or maybe minimal house. It doesnt matter what the genre is called, just let yourself go and enjoy.

Available from Beatport.

St Germain: St Germain (Primary Society, 2015)
I think it was worth the 14 years of waiting. :)

Available from Qobuz.

Okay so now a bit (just a bit) about me. I'm 31, born and raised in Hungary, living in Zürch and I am a complete music junky. I have a bunch of great, like-minded friends with whom we geek out about great tracks with groovy bass lines, cowbells and stuff like that.
