Lovely Recordings Hosted by Adam Israel

I've been an audio fool for close to twenty years now, and I gravitate to SET's and high efficiency speaker systems. Currently I am using a rebuilt Lenco table, a Schiit Gungnir DAC, Shindo Masseto preamp, and Shindo Cortese amp. I am between speakers, but looking for the perfect pair.

The Chats: Get This In Ya (Independent, 2017)
The only modern Punk album that can hold it's own with the classics.

The Dead Kennedys: Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death (Alternative Tentacles, 1987)
Speaking of classic Punk albums, I just had to throw in The Dead Kennedys.

moe.: No Doy (550 Music - Epic, 1996)
The perfect blend of jam band music and Rock. This album is a good time from start to finish.

Primus: Frizzle Fry (Caroline, 1990)
Sticking with the theme of wall-to-wall goodness, this Primus album is my favorite of theirs.

Blind Melon: Live at The Palace (Capitol Records, 2006)
Just an all around great live album.

Mannequin Pussy: Romantic (Tiny Engines, 2016)
Hearing these women scream with fury and rage never ceases to bring a smile to my face.

Deerhoof: Deerhoof vs. Evil (Polyvinyl Record Co., 2011)
A wonderful collage of sounds, colors, and textures...

Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros: Global A Go Go (Hellcat/Epitaph, 2001)
I'm not sure what to say about this one. It's good. Give it a few listens to get a good feel for what it has to offer.

G. Love: G. Love & Special Sauce (Okeh, 1994)
A perfect album. I still remember where I was the first time I heard this album. A head shop on High Street in Columbus, Ohio. From the moment I heard it, I new this album was special.

Lucero: Nobody's Darlings (Liberty & Lament, 2005)
Every song is great, and the band simply rocks.

Hospitality: Hospitality (Merge Records, 2012)
This one could be classified as Brooklyn indie-pop but don't let that scare you away. This is a fun album to listen to.

Joe Strummer's Global A Go-Go was going to be on my list of Lovely Recordings - serves me right for waiting ?years? to submit my entry. I dig all of Strummer's Mescalero albums - Global A Go-Go is my favorite. Looking forward to having a listen to the other albums here. Thanks for sharing!
