The Synergistic Research Atmosphere is a room / system acoustic enhancement device that improves the perceived sound by radiating ULF and LF RF into the room. Soundstage and many aspects of the sound are controlled by an IPad app. Adding an ATM (Atmosphere Tuning Module) adds additional settings and control of the music. These extraordinary little devices can transform the sound of your DAC or other components by placing them on D to A chips, fuses, near vacuum tubes, capacitors, transformers, op amps, and analog and digital cables. External case placement was also found to have a significant positive influence on the sound. The Synergistic Research Grounding Block and High Definition Ground Cables are two accessories that can be used not only with Synergistic Research cables and products that utilize a ground connection, but with most any amp, preamp, DAC, computer, etc. These products not only decrease the noise floor, but enhance the soundstage and definition from top to bottom. The micro-iUSB3.0 is iFi Audio's "total USB solution" that was found to outperform their previous efforts when compared to the iUSB and the iPurifer. Also improved was the iPower AC/DC power supply. Intona Technology USB 2.0 High-Speed Isolator, $348.00
The Intona USB 2.0 High-Speed Isolator was very effective in isolating computer noise with galvanic isolation. The High-Speed Isolator also repacketizes and provides clean power to the USB DAC. Shunyata Research Venom USB Cable, $125.00/.75m
The Shunyata Reserach Venom USB Cable is a top grade performer for a very reasonable price. I was very pleased with the over-all sound of this cable and had no issues playing files up to 352.8 kHz. The cable doesn't quite surpass the sonic performance of cables like the Audioquest Diamond and JCAT Reference USB, but I suspect that most users will be delighted using the Venom USB in their systems.
