Finally a hirez streamer! Wireless computer audio has finally begun with this product.

I have been contemplating that benefits of a DAC and was looking closely at the Audioengine D1 due to price. However, this DAC would certainly be a nice upgrade over my previous interest.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter.

This seems to be a great little device and problem solver - I wonder why this concept (i.e. wireless transmission of digital data) is not more widespread. Ideally, I would like to see a transmission only device (w/o DAC) and/or a device that has two mono receivers so that there is no wiring between the active speakers I use.

I do not have much material with higher resolution that 16/44.1. And with a good DAC a red book CD can still surprise me.

I have heard ARCAM rDAC (although I believe it was not receiving wireless data on that occasion), and it was really impressive. Not up to Audiolab 8200CD, and probably not up to Altmann Tera-Player, still very impressive.

So my question would be whether D2 can beat at least rDAC when playing 16/44.1 audio. And I am already biased, as IMHO rDAC is better looking...
