I work for a VERY glamorous retail store. When customers ask what are the best headphones or smart speakers I say, well, the one that costs the most. At first they think I'm kidding, then they're not so sure!. They like to hear how their neighbors will envy their good taste because of the expensive brand name that "nobody heard of".
I saw an iHome thingy at the CbS for $29.00. Will this be the best or should I go to Warmart and see what they have, bc that one has no clock. Thanks in advance.

I ran the audio of this video through my tube system. All the dialog was a bit warmer and more organic. Dare I say less harsh :)

"We must find ways to demonstrate the truth that only through compassion and brotherhood, inner peace and happiness can be found. There is a simple exercise which we use in our course on practical ways to deal with harmful emotions, which helps in experiencing this truth: Think about someone who made you angry and observe the unpleasant sensations in your body, and then think about someone you love, and see how good it feels at the level of the body.

The knowledge of Theosophy gives us a very good basis for demonstrating through analogy, exercise, dialogue and meditation practices, the truth expressed in the following words of wisdom by the Buddha, all of which deal with the essential attitude needed for the development of compassion and inner peace. Here are the unforgettable words of the Buddha at the opening of the Dhammapâda:

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the carriage.

… All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

… ‘He abused me, he beat me, he defeated me, he robbed me’ – in those who harbour such thoughts hatred will never cease.

… He abused me, he beat me, he defeated me, he robbed me’ – in those who do not harbour such thoughts hatred will cease.”

For hatred does not cease by hatred at any time: hatred ceases by love, this is an old rule.

Where can this love or compassion that eradicates hatred be found? It can be found deep within because it is our own true nature, but we have to make space for it. So long as we are filled with the self and all its desires and fears it cannot appear.

The making of space for compassion to be born within us, is the result of a long process of deep inner observation, combined with a willingness to meet our accumulated anger, fear, loneliness, frustration – and feeling with com-passion all the pain which is held in these emotions."
